The Marauder Threat

Marauders are beings consumed by insatiable greed and bottomless hunger for more. No amount of wealth, food, or power can ever satisfy them - they are trapped in cycles of endless acquisition, hoarding far beyond what they could ever use while others starve.

Types of the Greedy

👹 Compulsive Scavenger

Health: 3, Defense: 6

Driven By: An uncontrollable urge to take and hoard, flees when their stash is threatened

Attacks:

Tragedy: Can never feel satisfied no matter how much they collect, giggles nervously to mask their inner emptiness

What they say: "Never enough!" "Need more shinies!" "Still not happy..."

⚔️ Raider Warrior

Health: 6, Defense: 8

Driven By: Violent pursuit of resources, strength in numbers to take what others have earned

Attacks:

Tragedy: Believes taking from others will fill the void inside, but each raid leaves them more hollow

What they say: "Your stuff should be ours!" "Why do you have more than us?!"

💪 Hoarding Enforcer

Health: 10, Defense: 10

Driven By: Using strength to seize resources, intimidates the weak to steal their possessions

Attacks:

Tragedy: Mistakes causing fear for earning respect, destroys beauty because they cannot create it themselves

What they say: "MINE NOW!" "You have too much, me take some!"

👑 Greed Lord

Health: 15, Defense: 12

Driven By: Commanding others to feed their endless appetite for wealth and power

Attacks:

Special: Once per fight, can call for goblin reinforcements

Tragedy: Has accumulated vast wealth but remains desperately unhappy, fears losing everything because possessions are their only identity

What they say: "Bring me EVERYTHING!" "It's not enough! Never enough!"

👻 Shadow Sprite

Health: 4, Defense: 9 (hard to hit)

Abilities: Invisible in darkness, whispers lies

Attacks: Confusion magic (makes you roll twice, take worse result)

Personality: Mischievous, loves causing arguments

Weakness: Bright light makes them easier to hit

🧌 Territorial Enforcer

Health: 20, Defense: 8 (large profile target)

Tactical Role: Self-regenerating heavy weapons platform (recovers 2 health per turn unless subjected to thermal damage)

Combat Capabilities:

Operational Profile: Economic warfare specialist focused on resource extraction and territory control

Tactical Vulnerability: Susceptible to negotiated resolution when offered substantial material compensation

😈 Chaos Imp

Health: 6, Defense: 10

Abilities: Teleports around, changes the rules randomly

Attacks: Reality twist (weird things happen for 1 turn)

Special: Every turn, roll 1d6 - on 1-2, something random happens!

Personality: Chaotic, finds destruction hilarious
